52 Pickup History

This version of 52 Pickup was first conceived in 1990. As a university student, in my spare time, I wrote a series of computer games for DOS and eventually found a distributor who boxed them and sent out 40,000+ copies to major US and Canadian retail chains. It was a nice side income for a poor student.

That distribution company is now bust but I still keep my sample box which is scanned below. Notice the copyright date and the 52 Pickup screen capture. Same layout as the "Original" layout in the current Flash and .net versions. Also notice my gripe that a couple places they named the game "52 Card Pickup". That did not make me happy. Oh well ,it paid the rent and got me into computer card games for a long time.
